Trevor Burdick: Drums
Originally hailing from the Berkshires in Western Massachusetts, we welcomed Trevor aboard as the newest member of Troubled Spirit in March 2020. He graduated from the University of Southern California in 1995. He hung around there to enjoy the weather for a while before travelling abroad. He made a career as an Army officer and federal civil servant. When he’s not working or commuting, he is spending time with his two awesome school aged kids. In his free time, he finds his happy place behind the drum kit.
Musically, Trevor has been playing the drums since he was about 5 years old…and boy are his arms tired. He grew up playing in concert bands, jazz bands, marching bands, the state district orchestra and a slew of garage bands with friends. As a result, his influences range from Beethoven, Count Basie and the Trojan Marching Band – to Cream, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Rush and the nostalgic guilty pleasures of rocking out to 80’s covers. Since moving to the greater DC area in 1997, Trevor has been playing in a variety of local ensembles, but has long looked for an opportunity to put his range of chops to work in a professional band. He has found a great fit with us in Troubled Spirit.
